Studio Casa Sarah in Calpe

The holiday apartment is in a villa, which is situated in a calm area just above Calpe, with a wonderful view towards the town, the Penon de Ifach, the sea and the mountains.
Only five minutes by car you will be in the city and the several beaches. The refurbished apartment is comfortable for 2 people (Click HERE to see how the studio looks from the inside). It has a separate entrance with own parking. The joint-usage of the big (5x10 m) pool and the large panoramic terrace, as well as your own, private sitting area guarantee a wonderful and relaxed stay. Situation:

Calpe is a city with a population of about 30'000 people, distributed in several districts, with a beautiful old downtown center and 13 km of beaches of which over 2.5 km is purest sand. It is located on the Costa Blanca between Valencia and Alicante. It will take you 65 km to drive to the airport of Alicante by motorway. The distance of our villa to the center is about 1 km in a quiet area on mount Olta with a panoramic view of the city, the sea (sometimes all the way to island of Ibiza) and the countryside. Yearly Program of Calpe:

Starting January to April there is the blossom time of Almond-, Apricot-, and Cherrytrees. A hike through the countryside with all its fantastic colors in white and pink is a must during this time (to see some pictures about the hiking area, click HERE). The temperatures of this time are very comfortable no matter if you are going to the pine forest or countryside. This opportunity you can enjoy directly by foot from our Studio Sarah, but of course you can also use the car to get the back countryside.

Mai to June is the pre-season. During this time you can enjoy the beaches of Calpe and its environment. It is also good time to visit and enjoy quietly and peacefully the old center of the city. The city consists of many cozy restaurants and bars with international and unique food and wine to affortable prices.

In July, August up to the middle of September is the main season. Both of the 10 km long beaches are busy. The dreamful weather and clear water is enjoyed by young and old sun worshipers. For clean and beautiful beaches guarantees the Spanish environmental government agency. They are controlling on a regular basis all faciliities and mark them with blue flags.

In October is the fiesta time. The still mild weather with warm water temperatures invite you also to swiss in the sea, but in addition, this is also the time for tourists who like to enjoy a more quiet time on the beach. In Calpe there will be held 10 day beer festival of the Munich Oktoberfestival. The style is for the younger and older generation and for tourists and for local Spanish residents a fun time. The peak moment of all the celebrations during this time is the 4-day Christian and Mauren Festival which takes place always around the 20th of October. The festival includes a parade with a lot of local groups dressed up in wonderful costumes and ends with a wonderful and unique firework.

In November - December it will be quiet in the town and the beaches. This is the ideal time for mountain climbing (to see some pictures about the climbing and hiking area, click HERE). Directly from our apartment you can go by foot to the mount Olta. It will take you about 30 min, there you can find marked climbing trails. For climbers Calpe is a fantastic destination since you can reach from here to many different climbing trails. The end of the year is also the best time to hike up the symbol of Calpe, the Penon d'Ifach.
